Dental Technician Forum members put the questions
Concerned about the impact of the new contract on NHS work, particularly the situation affecting Band 3 payments, a small group of subscribers to the Dental Technician Forum decided to discuss them with the very people that have the closest links with the roots of our industry – Dr Barry Cockcroft, Chief Dental Officer from the Department of Health and Dr Susie Sanderson, Chair of the Executive of the British Dental Association.
The DTF subscribers had two lively informal discussions and put the case for direct payment to laboratories, also covering overseas work and the implications of registration . At the end of their meetings they felt they had established substantial common ground.
